At Fetch Canine we recognize that dogs come in all shapes, sizes, colours, breeds, temperaments, and unique personalities. The one thing that they have in common is how much joy they bring to our lives and how little they ask for in return.
That’s where we come in. Our mission is to work with dog owners and dogs alike, to enrich your relationships and help assist you to the best of our ability.
To do this we invest a lot of resources into training our team on proven handling methods. Instead of correcting bad behaviors, we take the time to build favorable behaviors. We then ask the dog for the new alternative and reward them generously when they make the right choice. This approach means that we end up working with our dogs, not against them.
Whether your dog is in for a short grooming visit, a day of daycare, or a long-term boarding stay it’s our goal to identify where we can work with them to improve and help you shape a better dog!
Live like the gate was left open!

Xavier, 25-year-old born & raised in Winnipeg. Ever since I started working with dogs in 2018 I’ve know it’s an environment I’ve naturally loved working in. Whether the dog knows it or not it brings me pleasure knowing I made a positive difference in that doggos life. Every day is a new experience, everyday matters. I originally started out as a groomer, so I have experience with many different temperaments & breeds of dogs/cats. I own 3 pets of my own, a tabby & 2 Havanese. These little fur balls are my life & I cherish them all exceptionally. The same love I show my pets at home is the same your dogs will receive in my care.
I've been working with dogs for about 4 years in daycare settings.
Trained in no fear, do no harm while taking care of dogs .
Pet first aid certification.
I have a passion for dogs and love developing relationships and learning their many quirky ways.
My main goal is to make sure every dog I care for is safe and happy and try to enrich their lives on an ongoing basis.
I currently have 2 dogs of my own, Kira is a 12 year old rescue and Neala is an 11 year old Rough Collie/Great Pyrenees cross.
I am a big animal lover, doesn’t matter what shape, size or temperament they have the chances of them stealing my heart is 100%. Which is why I’m grateful to be able to work in an environment where I get to take care of them, it makes my day seeing a happy doggo. I have experience working in doggy daycares, in vet clinics and I have been volunteering at D’Arcy Animal Shelter since 2016. At home I have two dogs, Kovu a Shepherd mix and Jack a Flat-Coated Retriever mix, I also have three cats, and they mean the world to me.
